Found out adults spend 4 months of their life just looking for lost stuff

I was reading this random article while waiting for my kids to finish practice and it said the average person spends 2.5 days a year hunting for misplaced keys, phones, and wallets. That hit me hard because I just spent 20 minutes searching for my car keys that were in my hand the whole time. Anyone else feel like they need a tracking chip implanted?

Do you ever wonder if our brains are just too full these days to keep track of the small stuff? I swear I lose my glasses at least twice a week and they're literally on my face half the time. It's rough but at least we're all in the same boat I guess.

Three weeks ago I lost my keys for three days straight. Found them in the fridge next to the milk. What worked for me was a tiny hook by the door. Soon as I walk in keys go on that hook every single time. Took about a week of forcing myself but now it's automatic. Saved my sanity honestly. Glasses are harder though I still put them on top of my head half the time.

Agree completely with the hook method, that solved my key problems years ago. But the glasses situation is a whole different animal. I found a trick that works about 80 percent of the time: I bought a cheap little lanyard that hangs around my neck and just leave the glasses on it when I take them off. Now I can't walk away without feeling the tug, which reminds me to put them back on my face or hook them properly. Still have moments where I pat my head looking for them, but it's way better than it used to be.
