Found out at 34 I've been folding my fitted sheets wrong my whole life

My mom came over last week and watched me wrestle a fitted sheet into a ball, then she just shook her head and showed me the corners tuck into each other trick. All these years I thought I was just bad at laundry, turns out nobody ever taught me the actual method. It took like 40 seconds once she showed me, and I felt both stupid and relieved at the same time. Why did my school home ec class skip this but teach me how to make a pillow fort? Has anyone else had a basic life skill moment like this that just hit different?
