Had a customer at the bar last night tell me I looked "too tired to be working" and then got mad when I didn't laugh

This guy in his 50s at 11pm in St. Louis kept waving his empty glass at me while I was clearly slammed, and when I finally got to him he said it with this smirk like it was hilarious. Has anyone else had someone comment on your face at work and expect you to be grateful for the attention?

Is it just me or do some people think they're a stand-up comedian when they're three drinks in... Ugh, the audacity of that guy, honestly. Hope he tipped you well for the free comedy show he put on.

Bet on it, bet he thinks he's the next Jerry Seinfeld after a couple shots. Triple the tip for having to nod through his "material.

Keep a clean bar rag in your apron pocket. When someone tries that line, dampen it and wipe their counter slow and deliberate while staring at their empty glass without saying a word. They usually get uncomfortable and order something just to break the silence. Works about 70 percent of the time. The other 30 percent just double down on being annoying, but at least you looked busy while ignoring them.
