Paid $250 for a robot vacuum and it saved my marriage
My wife and I fought every Sunday about who had to sweep the floors. Finally dropped $250 on a Roomba knockoff three months ago, now we just laugh at how stupid we were. Has anyone else found one dumb purchase that fixed a bigger problem?

Totally get it, that dishwasher move is genius. It's wild how something you think is just a convenience actually stops a whole cycle of resentment before it even gets started. We had the same thing with a cheap little air fryer, no joke, because my partner hates using the oven and I hate greasy stove splatter. Oh man, that's exactly how I felt with our dishwasher. We had this unspoken tension every night about whose turn it was to wash dishes by hand. I'd let them pile up for days out of pure stubbornness. Finally bought a basic model for $400 and it honestly felt like we gained a whole extra hour of peace every evening. Now we just load it together and forget about it.
