Spent 3 hours on a Saturday just to fix one closet door that wouldn't latch
My closet door stopped catching about a month ago, so I figured I'd tighten the strike plate and be done in ten minutes. That plate was so stripped the screws just spun, so I moved it, filled the old holes with toothpicks and wood glue, and waited for it to dry. Then the door still wouldn't shut because the frame had swelled from the humidity, so I planed the edge down, repainted it, and got glue on my good jeans. Three hours, two trips to the hardware store, and $19 later it finally clicks. Why does every tiny house fix turn into a full Saturday project?
