The parking garage at my dentist's office made me feel like a failure

Went in for a cleaning on Tuesday and the automated pay station wouldn't take my card. Three tries, then the machine just froze. I had to walk back to the counter where this teenager looked at me like I was clogging up his day. He finally printed a ticket and said 'just wave this at the exit, it'll open.' Cost me $18 extra because I was late for the appointment. Has anyone else had a stupid machine make them doubt basic adult skills?
