Turned 30 and my back gave out from sleeping wrong on a $40 pillow from Target

On one hand, it's just a number and I feel fine mentally. On the other hand, I spent three days hobbling around like I was 80 and had to buy a $70 orthopedic pillow. Which side were you on when you hit a milestone birthday - did your body betray you too or am I just unlucky?

Read somewhere that your body starts breaking down around 30 because collagen drops like a rock. Guess we're both finding out the hard way.

My buddy Mike hit 30 last year and he literally threw his back out putting on a sock. A sock! He was on the floor for twenty minutes trying to figure out how to get up without calling his wife for help. @paige331 nailed it, that age just sneaks up on you. He ended up switching to those firm latex pillows from some chiropractor office and now he's all "my neck hasn't felt this good since high school." Guy sounds like a commercial but I guess it worked for him.
