Used to be a freezer hoarder until I actually defrosted mine last month

I used to just cram things in every corner of my freezer and never bother defrosting it. Last month the ice buildup was so bad I couldn't close the drawer. Spent an afternoon chipping away at it with a hairdryer and found three Tupperware containers of mystery soup from like 2021. Now I actually label stuff with dates and keep a list on the fridge door. Has anyone else found horrifying old food after finally cleaning out?

Respectfully disagree, a little ice never hurt anyone and labels just stress me out more.

yeah but @betty_wells kinda nailed it, labels just box you in before you even get started.

Labels can be suffocating, I get that. Better to just ease into a situation than force a whole diagnosis on the first date. I've learned to just say "hey, I like a bit of distance" and leave it at that, makes my life way simpler.
