My old manager kept saying 'write it down,' and it took me 3 firings to get it
Ngl my first boss at a call center in Boise told me every 1 on 1 to keep a log of everything my team promised, and I thought that was corporate nonsense for 3 jobs. Last month I got thrown under the bus over a deadline nobody remembered agreeing to, so I pulled up my own notes from 7 months back and it was solved in 5 minutes. Anyone else have a boss whose dumb advice turned out to be the only thing saving their job?

Wait 3 firings?? That's wild. I would've just kept ignoring it too honestly but dang, pulling out 7 month old notes and ending the whole thing in 5 minutes is crazy satisfying. Your old boss was playing chess the whole time lol
