Just realized the $400 I put into a used grain auger was the best money I ever set on fire
Grabbed a 10 inch swing auger at a farm auction near Ames for $400 last fall and it moved 3,000 bushels of corn without a single hiccup, while my neighbor's new $6,000 one threw a bearing in week two. Now I keep wondering what other cheap old iron I've been walking past. Anyone else had a clapped out piece of equipment outlast the shiny stuff?
