Why does nobody talk about greasing the PTO shaft before every hookup
Was at the co-op in Ames last month and an old guy watched me fight my brush hog for 20 minutes. He said if I'd grease the PTO shaft before every hookup it would slide right on and save my back. Tried it on my 6 foot cutter and the thing clicked on in 10 seconds. Now I keep a grease gun zip tied to the tractor. Anyone else got a small habit that saves a big headache?
