I finally got a custom GPT to write a decent cover letter, then it started suggesting I apply for jobs in Antarctica

Spent two hours fine-tuning it with my resume, only for it to get weirdly fixated on polar logistics. Has anyone else's AI helper gone completely off the rails like this?

It's like they have no real world sense, just pattern matching gone wrong. You spend all this time feeding it good info, and it still comes back with something completely unhinged. It makes the whole tool feel more like a quirky toy than a real help.
