I finally got my home assistant to stop turning on the kitchen lights at 3 AM

It was a simple rule conflict in the automation setup, but tracing it through the logic tree took me almost four hours on a Saturday. I had to manually check every single 'if' statement across three different apps that were all talking to each other. Has anyone else had a simple AI glitch eat up a whole afternoon?

Sounds like a fun puzzle to me.

I just started with the corners, @jasonallen, and the rest fell into place.

Starting with the corners is a classic strategy, but I always check the box art first. The picture on the lid gives you a color map for the whole thing. In my experience, sorting pieces by edge shape, not just color, saves a ton of time later. It stops you from forcing pieces that look right but are actually from a similar shaded area. Your mileage may vary, but it changed how I do puzzles.
