Just chose AI scheduling over my own calendar and it backfired hilariously

I had to pick between using a new AI tool for my work calendar or just keeping my old paper planner. I went with the AI because I thought it'd save me time. But it double-booked me for a dentist appointment and a client call at 3 PM on Tuesday. Now I'm sitting in the waiting room while my boss texts me "where are you?" Has anyone else had an AI planner mess up their day like this?

Wait till you find out paper planners also need you to actually check them for conflicts lol.

It's like people expect technology to magically make their lives organized without any effort on their part. Then when it doesn't, they blame the tool instead of their own habits. Seen this with to-do lists too, the app doesn't do the work for you.

Is it just the expectation that the tool does the thinking for you, or do people not even set aside the time to learn how the thing works in the first place? Like half the complaints I see about organization apps are people who never set up any of the tags or reminders and then wonder why it's a mess. I've got a buddy who swears by Trello but he also spends a solid hour every Sunday cleaning it up.

@mark_carr7 SPOT ON. I tell people the same thing all the time. My whole system is held together by a 30 minute Sunday cleanup just like your buddy, if I skip that it all falls apart within days.
