My AI art generator kept making weird hands and I finally switched tools
I was using Stable Diffusion for months and got so frustrated last week when it made a portrait with 7 fingers on one hand. After the 4th attempt came out with thumbs on the wrong side, I gave up and tried Midjourney for the first time. The hands still aren't perfect but the first try was way closer to what I wanted. Has anyone else hit a wall with one tool and had better luck switching to another?

Oh jeez, that 7-finger thing happened to me too except it was with an AI trying to make pancakes and it somehow gave the stack sixteen distinct lumps... I spent like an hour trying to fix it before giving up completely. Sometimes you just gotta accept that the tool has a weird quirk and move on to something else before you lose your mind.

My buddy Dave spent like two weeks trying to get stable diffusion to make a simple handshake image and every single time the hands just melted into each other. He finally swapped to midjourney and got a decent one on his third try, though the fingers still looked a little like sausages. Guess some tools just click better for certain things, no shame in switching it up.

Took me three full days of fighting with Dalle to get a decent hand holding a coffee cup. Every time the thumb would just sprout out of the wrist or the fingers would curl backwards. Switched to Leonardo AI and got a usable image on my second try, though the index finger still looked a bit too long. Sometimes the software just has a blind spot and you gotta try something different.
