My book club argued over AI-written chapters, and I'm not on board with the hype.
AI can't capture human emotion like real authors can.

Seen that same fight break out on writing forums too. Gets pretty heated, kinda like what @wilson.joseph was getting at.

Wait, your book club actually spent time arguing about AI writing? That's wild to me. I can't believe people are trying to have real talks about something that just stitches words together from the internet. It totally misses the point of why we read stories in the first place. The whole soul of a book comes from a person's lived experience, you know?

But hold on, that's exactly why it's worth talking about! AI might stitch words together, but it can make stories that feel real. Think about all those AI-written shorts that go viral, making people laugh or cry. The soul of a story isn't just where it comes from, it's how it connects with readers. If a machine writes a tale that moves you, does it matter who lived it? Book clubs should dive into this stuff because it changes what we think art is.

Can we even call it art if it's made by a machine? I wrote a poem once that my cat walked on, and it got better, so maybe the bar is low. Honestly, this whole debate just makes my head hurt.
