My kid's homework helper bot wrote a poem about broccoli that made me laugh for 10 minutes

I tested a basic text generator against one with a humor setting, and the second one actually got my 8-year-old to finish his vegetables. Anyone know other AI tools with a funny side?

Oh man, that's brilliant. My kid's homework bot just writes depressing haikus about long division. I tried a joke generator once that described carrots as "orange traffic cones you can eat," which at least got a confused nibble.

Depressing haikus about long division is a new one. What kind of bot was that, exactly? The joke generator output sounds like it was trained on some very weird data. In my experience, the free ones often get stuck on these strange, almost poetic descriptions instead of actual jokes. Your mileage may vary, but I've found they work better if you give them a very clear style to copy, like "tell a knock-knock joke about vegetables." Otherwise you just get confused nibbles.

Honestly the "confused nibble" is the best review a joke bot could ever get.
