PSA: I spent $150 on an AI writing tool and it made my blog sound like a robot having a stroke
Signed up for that Jasper AI thing last month to speed up my content, but everything it wrote was so stiff I had to rewrite it all anyway. Ended up going back to my old method of jotting down bullet points and expanding them myself, which costs zero dollars. Anyone else find these tools just don't match the tone you are going for?

Ha! Gotta disagree. I've had solid luck with tools like that for rough drafts.

I mean, sure, if you're just throwing something together to get the juices flowing, maybe it works. But calling it "solid luck" says a lot right there. That's the thing with most of these tools, they give you a bunch of words that sound good at first glance but don't really hold up when you look closer. People act like it's some huge breakthrough, but it's just a fancy autocomplete. And then you gotta spend twice the time fixing it so it doesn't sound like a robot wrote it. Seems like more trouble than it's worth for what you get out of it.
