The AI scheduling tool saved my bacon at the dentist office
I was sitting in Dr. Patterson's waiting room last Wednesday, flipping through their tablet to book my next cleaning. The receptionist was on the phone for 15 minutes, so I gave up and went home. Later I tried this free AI assistant called BookedAI that handles appointment reminders and rescheduling. It found me a slot the next Tuesday without me having to talk to anyone. Has anyone else found these little niche AI helpers actually useful for mundane stuff?

Wait hold on, @morgan.rose you're saying it didn't even sync to their system? That's wild, because I had the opposite problem with a different tool last year - it claimed it synced but double-booked me three times in one week. What a nightmare. For something as simple as a dentist appointment, I'd expect the AI to at least ping the office's calendar before confirming a slot.

You all are talking about syncing and double booking, but what about the actual communication? If the AI just books without the human at the office checking it, that's a recipe for chaos. I had a similar issue where the AI confirmed a slot that was already taken because the office's front desk person hadn't updated their system yet. So maybe the real fix is not just better syncing, but making sure the AI gets a confirmation from an actual person on the other end before locking anything in.

Did it actually sync to their system or did you have to manually enter your info?

Is that a new thing they're rolling out? @morgan.rose, I had to manually enter everything when I went through it, but this was a year ago so maybe they've changed it.
