Watched an AI tool rewrite a whole article in 2 minutes last Tuesday
I was proofing a patient newsletter and let an AI try it just for fun, and it fixed grammar and tone faster than I could read the first sentence. Has anyone else tried one of these editors and actually stuck with it?

You said "fixed grammar and tone faster than I could read the first sentence." That part stuck with me because it's exactly what happened when I tried one on a work email. But here's my question - did the tone actually match what you wanted or did it just sound generically "correct"? I've found the AI tools smooth everything out to this bland, polite voice that loses personality. For a patient newsletter, that could be good or bad depending on the audience. I'd be curious if you had to go back and rephrase a bunch of sentences to get the feeling back.

Yeah the tone thing is tricky. It came out sounding like a press release from 2015, all polite and toothless. I had to rewrite half of it to add contractions and sentence fragments to make it sound like a real person wrote it. The bot got the grammar right but killed the vibe completely.
