Appreciation post: my neighbor laughed at me for buying a cheap air fryer

So my neighbor Mike told me to skip the $40 basket style fryer at Walmart and go for the better ones. I didn't listen cause I was on a budget. After 3 months the coating started peeling off on the fries I made. He was right all along. Has anyone else regretted not spending a little more up front?

Yeah I bought the cheap one too. Now I'm eating fries with a side of whatever silver coating was supposed to stay on the basket. Pretty sure I've got a full set of nonstick cookware in my digestive system by now.

Toss it. Get a stainless steel one. Lasts forever. No coating problems.

Mine flaked off into the grease on the second use. Called the company and they said it was "normal wear and tear." Pretty sure my body is now 5% Teflon at this point.
