Bought a $12 silicone air fryer liner and it melted into my fries on the first try
Picked up a pack of those perforated silicone liners from Amazon thinking they'd save me cleanup time, but the thing fused to my sweet potato wedges at 400 degrees. Anybody else had those liners fail on them or did I just buy the wrong kind?

omg I had the exact same thing happen with a cheap set I got off some random site, it literally turned into a plastic-y mess on my fries and I was so mad. The trick for me was switching to a brand specifically made for high heat (I think OXO or KitchenAid? one of the big names) and also making sure I don't overcrowd the liner, too many wedges at once seems to trap steam and melt things faster. Also I always spray mine with a little oil first now, that creates a barrier that stops the silicone from sticking to the food. Honestly though for the really high temps like 400 I just use parchment paper cut to size, it's way cheaper and never fails.

Totally feel your pain on that plastic mess, it's so gross when you're just trying to enjoy some fries. I had a similar thing happen with a liner from Target, it just turned into a sticky disaster at 400 degrees and I had to throw the whole batch away. That tip about oiling it first is genius, I never thought of that but it makes total sense. Parchment paper is my go-to now for anything above 375 too, just cut a rectangle and it's done.
