Finally figured out why my frozen wings kept coming out dry, and it was the cornstarch
Tbh I almost gave up on doing wings in the air fryer because they always came out kinda rubbery on the inside and burnt on the tips, even at 380. My buddy Marcus who cooks at a spot in Reno told me to toss them in a tablespoon of cornstarch with my seasoning before they go in, no oil, and just shake the basket once at the 10 minute mark. Did a batch of 12 last night at 400 for 22 minutes total and they came out shatter crisp, seriously better than the ones I pay $14 for at the bar down the street. Has anyone tried this with drumsticks too, or does the thicker meat mess up the timing?
