Just hit 100 batches of air fryer fries and my machine is not happy

I got my air fryer as a gift about a year ago and I've been making fries almost every week, sometimes twice. I hit the 100th batch last night and now it's making a weird grinding sound when it heats up. I clean the basket and drawer after every use, but I guess all that oil and potato starch builds up inside over time. Has anyone else had their air fryer start acting up after heavy use, and did you find a way to clean the inside parts?

Yeah, that grinding sound after a lot of fries is super common. You gotta clean the heating element itself, which gets caked in that invisible starch dust. Unplug it, let it cool, and gently scrub the coil with a dry, soft brush (like a clean toothbrush) to break up the gunk.
