My air fryer caught fire making bacon last weekend
I threw in some thick cut bacon at 400 degrees like I always do, but this time the grease splattered up into the heating element and ignited. Smoke poured out of the vents in less than 2 minutes. I unplugged it quick and dumped baking soda on the flames before it got bad. Anyone else had a grease fire scare with theirs or am I just too lazy about cleaning the top coil?

Had my toaster oven catch fire once from cheese dripping onto the heating coils, same kind of smoky panic. Cleared the kitchen and yanked the plug before the smoke alarm could wake up the whole building.

Nah, you should have let the smoke alarm do its job. That's how small kitchen fires turn into whole-building disasters.
