The day my neighbor showed me how to air fry frozen burritos without a mess

Last Tuesday my neighbor Carol came over to borrow eggs and saw me fighting with a frozen burrito in my air fryer. She laughed and told me to wrap the thing in a damp paper towel first, then hit it at 375 for 8 minutes. I tried it that night and it came out crispy on the outside and hot all the way through with no filling leaking everywhere. Has anyone else got a random tip from a neighbor that totally changed how you use your air fryer?

Wait, damp paper towel in the air fryer doesn't burn it up or cause a fire?

oh man @the_mary i felt the exact same way when i first heard about it. i thought there was no way a damp paper towel wouldn't just catch fire in there but i tried it with some leftover chicken wings and it actually worked great. the towel just steams up and keeps stuff from drying out too much. just make sure it's really just damp not soaking wet and dont let it touch the heating element. i was so nervous the first time i had to watch it the whole time lol.
