Tried air frying frozen hash browns at my sister's house last Sunday

I always thought air fryers were just for chicken wings and fries, but my sister made frozen hash browns in hers and they came out crispy on the outside and soft inside. No oil at all, just straight from the bag into the basket for 12 minutes at 400 degrees. It completely changed how I see breakfast sides now. Has anyone else tried something simple like that and been surprised?

Maybe it's just me but my air fryer has basically become my personal chef and I'm just the person who pushes buttons. My family calls it my "lazy chef" because it does all the work and I take all the credit. Pretty sure I'd air fry my morning coffee if someone figured out how.

Right there with you, it's wild how a simple change can flip your whole breakfast game.

Gotta disagree a little though. The air fryer is great for crispy stuff but it doesn't really replace the slow simmering of a good stovetop meal or the even heat of an oven for baking. Some things just need more time and moisture than an air fryer can give.

Jumped on the same bandwagon last month and now I air fry everything. It's funny how one little kitchen gadget makes you realize most of life's food problems are way simpler than we make them.
