Unpopular opinion: I was overcrowding my air fryer basket for a year straight
I got my air fryer back in January and for the first 11 months I treated that basket like a laundry hamper, just piling frozen fries and chicken wings in until it was full to the top. Everything came out pale and limp and I honestly figured the thing was just weak, so I started cooking stuff 5 minutes longer, which only dried it out. Then last week my sister was over and watched me dump half a bag of frozen nuggets in there and she just said "you know those need room to breathe, right?" She grabbed a handful back out and laid the rest in one flat layer. Same temperature, same time, and the nuggets came out actually crispy for once. I sat there feeling pretty dumb because the fix was so obvious and cost me nothing. Now I do two smaller batches instead of one big pile and it takes maybe 4 extra minutes total. What's the one dumb habit you had to have pointed out before your food started coming out right?
