Watched a demo at Costco and now I preheat my air fryer, what a difference
I used to just toss stuff in cold and add a few minutes. Last Saturday at the Costco in Fresno they had a rep showing off the air fryer station. She preheated for 3 minutes before putting in the frozen mozzarella sticks. I thought it was just theater, but I tried it at home with the same brand and the coating actually stayed crunchy instead of peeling off. Has anyone else noticed a big texture change with preheating, or is it just certain foods?

Preheating is the difference between crispy and sad. Learned that the hard way with tater tots that came out looking like they gave up on life. Now I wait the extra 3 minutes and feel like a proper chef instead of a microwave owner with extra steps.
