Worst air fryer day of my life last Tuesday
I tried making salmon in my air fryer and the smoke alarm went off three times. My landlord came knocking thinking the place was on fire lol. Has anyone else had a recipe that just totally backfired in the air fryer?

Lean into the lesson here, because it applies to way more than just cooking. The smoke point thing is real, but what got me is how we all assume new gadgets work like the old ones. I tried making grilled cheese in my air fryer last week and ended up with a burnt mess and raw bread because I just set it and forgot it like a toaster oven. Same thing with my roommate who put a frozen pizza in the microwave on the pizza setting and got a soggy disaster. Every machine has its own weird personality and you gotta learn it before trusting it with expensive salmon or your landlord not yelling at you.
