A salty old timer at the hangar told me my torque wrench technique was 'all show, no go'

He watched me do a wheel change on a Cessna 172 last Tuesday and said I was pulling too fast, which can mess up the reading. I slowed way down, pausing for a full second at the click, and the next set of nuts seated way more evenly. It's a tiny change but it feels more solid now. Anyone else get called out on something simple that actually made a big difference?

Old guys are always right" seems like a stretch.
