Forgot to lock the landing gear pin on a 737 yesterday

I was doing a quick turn in Atlanta and pulled the pin out to check the downlock. Set it on the towbar tray and walked away for two seconds to grab a rag. Came back and the pin was gone, found it under the nose tire after 15 minutes of looking. Has anyone else lost a pin in a weird spot like that?

Taping it to the tow bar saved my ass more than once lol.

Oh jeez, that's one of those things you learn the hard way, isn't it? I've had that tape save me more times than I'd like to admit, usually right when I'm already running late and everything's going wrong. The tow bar's a smart spot though, keeps it from melting onto the exhaust pipe or flapping off at highway speeds. Glad I'm not the only one who's done it.
