I was sure a fuel line was the problem until I found a loose ground strap
I was working a night shift on a regional jet in Chicago, troubleshooting a persistent avionics power flicker. I had the fuel panel open and was ready to start pulling lines, convinced it was a flow issue. My lead, an older guy named Frank, just said, 'Check the bonding strap behind the main bus.' Sure enough, one of the mounting bolts was barely finger-tight. Tightened it up, and the flicker was gone. Has anyone else had a gremlin that pointed you in a totally wrong direction like that?

Gotta love when the fix is way simpler than the rabbit hole you're already down.

Finger-tight on a jet? That's terrifying.

You ever have one of those moments where you're sure you need a whole new tool set, but the answer was just to push a little harder? I spent a solid hour once trying to "fix" a loose cabinet knob before my roommate just walked over and gave it a normal turn. It was on the whole time.
