Just read the FAA's new fatigue study and the numbers are wild
Found it on their website last night. It says 70% of mechanics report working while fatigued at least once a month. I always knew it was bad, but that's a huge number. Makes you think about those late night turnarounds. How does your shop handle shift work to cut down on this?

Wow, that's just how everything feels these days.

That number is crazy but it tracks... we had a guy fall asleep standing up leaning on a workbench last week. The 2am call-outs for a broken tow bar are the worst, especially after a full day shift. Our manager just tells us to drink more coffee, which is not a real fix. Makes you wonder how many little things get missed when everyone is running on fumes.

It's the same everywhere, honestly. You start to see how many small mistakes happen when people are just too tired to think straight.
