Lost $200 on a so-called ultrasonic parts cleaner that couldn't clean a greasy bolt

Bought it off a guy on Craigslist near the airport. Said it was industrial grade, used it once on some injector nozzles and it barely did better than a toothbrush. Should have just spent the cash on a real one from Grainger. Anyone else get burned by cheap cleaning gear?

My buddy Dave bought one of those ultrasonic cleaners off some guy in a warehouse district... thing couldn't even get the grime off his old spark plugs. He ended up using it as a fancy paperweight in his garage.

Ngl, $200 on a Craigslist parts cleaner that couldn't even clean a greasy bolt sounds like a total nightmare. The guy near the airport probably knew it was junk and just dumped it on you. I've been burned by cheap stuff before, but this takes the cake. Industrial grade my foot, it's barely a glorified toothbrush like you said. Sorry you got stuck with that lemon, hope you can return it or something.
