Read a job posting yesterday that said A&P with 3 years experience, no license required
Saw an ad for a transport category shop near Denver hiring "mechanics" with zero A&P, just wants someone with 3 years of wrench turning and will train them. I get the shortage, I really do, but that's how you end up with a fuel line safety wire job done by a guy who thinks torque specs are just suggestions. I've been doing this for 11 years, and the amount of unlicensed folks I've seen sign off work because the shop pressure was too high is scary. Is this becoming normal in other regions too, or is Denver just a wild west for hiring right now?

Watch any trade industry lately and you'll see the same shortcut spiral, from HVAC to plumbing, cutting corners until something blows up and then everyone wonders why. Quality takes time most places just don't want to pay for anymore.
