Shelled out $150 for a hydraulic jack from a tool truck and it leaked within a week
Bought a flashy orange truck brand jack on Tuesday to replace my old one. Tried lifting a King Air main gear with it on Thursday and saw oil pooling under the release valve. Had to borrow the shop's ancient Hein-Werner to finish the job. Anyone else get burned by expensive tool truck stuff they thought was supposed to be top notch?

Is it really that big of a deal though? A little oil never hurt anyone, just wipe it up and move on. Sounds like you got the job done anyway.

Paid for a premium jack and got a leaky floor mat.

@tessa_murray that's rough. A leaky floor mat kinda defeats the whole purpose of paying extra for a premium jack in the first place. I've had cheap ones that held up better than that honestly. Hopefully you can get a replacement without too much hassle.
