The before and after on those cheap hose clamps is scary
I swapped out a set of worm gear clamps on a Cessna 172 last month after finding corrosion under three of them. The ones that came off were only 4 years old but the rubber lines underneath were already getting chewed up. Has anyone else seen this kind of wear from the cheap stainless ones?

And @matthewdixon, nothing says "trust me" like corroded clamps at 3,000 feet.

Totally spot on. It feels like everywhere we're cutting corners on the basics and hoping nobody notices until it's too late. Like how people ignore a weird noise in their car for months until it finally breaks down.
