Took me 3 years to admit that torque seal is actually worth it.
Ngl I used to think torque seal was just a gimmick for guys who wanted their work to look pretty. But after catching a loose bolt on a flap track last week I bought a bottle and now I'm a believer. Anyone else change their mind on something they swore was useless?

Yeah, the "gimmick for guys who wanted their work to look pretty" line got me. I read a forum post once where a guy said it was just visual theater for managers. But then he described finding a whole line of seal broken on a gear pin, and it changed my whole view. It's not about looking busy, it's a dead simple check that something has moved.

So what was the seal on, @vera_robinson36? Like a specific part that should never have been touched? That's a huge find.

Look, I get the idea of a seal as a check. But come on, a broken line of paint means someone definitely messed with a critical part? I've seen those seals on old AC units and water heater panels. Half the time they crack from weather or vibration. It's a good first glance, but it's not a smoking gun. You'd need to actually check the torque on the bolt or see if the gear has fresh tool marks. Treating a paint line like a holy relic feels like overkill.
