Update: The Cessna 172 overhaul manual has a wrong number on page 45
It shows the wrong bearing clearance in the latest print. I spotted it last week while doing a rebuild, so check your work.

Nah, that number's definitely wrong in the book.

Yeah, a buddy of mine got bit by a bad insert once. He was doing a top overhaul on his Cherokee and followed the new torque spec from the revision sheet. Turns out the sheet itself had a typo, and he ended up with a stripped stud. Had to order a whole new jug. It was a huge mess and totally set him back.

Hold on, that number matches my manual just fine. The factory put out a change a while back to correct it. Might want to check for the latest revision insert. Sometimes those get missed when the book is filed. My copy has a sticky note on that page from the update. Always good to double check the revision date before starting a job.

Hey @brooke_wells20, you said the factory corrected it, but I've seen those revision inserts cause confusion too. They can have mistakes or get misplaced easily. I always cross-check with online resources just to be safe.
