A customer pointed out my panel was crooked and I never noticed for 5 years
Last Tuesday I was finishing up a install at a house in the suburbs and the homeowner comes over and asks if my panel was supposed to be tilted. I looked at it and yeah, it was off by maybe half a degree. I told her I'd fix it and she said no, it's been like that since you put it in three years ago. I went back and checked my photos from that job and she was right. Made me realize I got sloppy with my leveling on wall mounts. Now I always double check with a 4 foot level instead of just eyeballing it. Any of you guys ever had a customer point out a mistake you kept repeating?

Laugh out loud... I mean, at least you found out before another five years went by, right? Makes you wonder how many other panels are out there with a little character... my neighbor's fence has been leaning for like a decade and nobody says a word. I guess homeowners either don't notice or they're just being polite, which is honestly worse because then you just keep doing it wrong. That half degree tilt probably bugs them every time they walk past it though...

My buddy Mike got a new roof put on three years ago and the contractor left a gap under one of the ridge vents big enough for a squirrel to crawl through. Nobody said a word until a raccoon family moved in last spring and started tearing up his attic at 3 AM. He spent $800 on repairs and another $200 on traps. The whole time his neighbor across the street had been watching the whole thing from their kitchen window, just figured Mike knew about it. People really do just mind their own business way too much sometimes.
