Am I the only guy who thinks wireless sensors beat hardwired in most homes?
I did a full retrofit in a 1960s ranch outside Columbus last month and swapped out what was a super clean hardwired panel for a wireless setup. Took me about 6 hours less than the wired job I did in Newark the week before, and the customer was happier because we didn't have to tear up their plaster walls. I know the old guys swear by hardwired for reliability, but with the newer lithium batteries lasting 5 years plus, I've seen way fewer service calls on wireless in my 12 years doing this. Has anyone else switched over on older homes and found the same thing?
