Finally saw the payoff from a panel swap I did 8 months ago

I had this one house where the old system was a real mess. Wires everywhere, panels from three different decades, and the homeowner just wanted it to work without false alarms. I finally convinced them to let me rip it all out and put in a new all-in-one panel with better cellular backup. Took me a full Saturday to re-terminate everything and clean up the wiring. Well, last week they had a power outage that lasted 2 days and their system never dropped off the monitoring grid. The neighbor's system went down after 6 hours on battery. Felt pretty good to see that difference play out. Anyone else have a job where you didn't see the real results until way later?

That patience with quality work almost always pays off eventually.

Buddy of mine spent 3 years building custom furniture in his garage. Didn't sell a single piece for the first 18 months, just kept refining his joinery and finish work. Last year he got a commission from a local restaurant to build all their tables and bar tops. That one job paid him more than his previous two years of regular work combined.

The patience part is what gets me every time (three kids taught me that).
