Hardwired panels vs. wireless for older homes?

I used to be all about hardwired panels for older homes because it felt more permanent and reliable. But after helping my cousin deal with running cable through his 1920s plaster walls, I totally get why wireless makes sense now. The mess and hassle of cutting into those old walls just isn't worth it when wireless tech works so well these days.

Ha, preach @the_alice! I'd rather deal with a half dozen wireless dropouts than try to fish cable through plaster and lathe again.
