I finally figured out why those new wireless sensors keep losing sync

Heard a guy at the supply house yesterday saying the metal roof on that new condo complex was blocking the signal, and it clicked after I'd spent two hours on site blaming the panel. Has anyone else run into this with modern metal roofs or just me?

Oh man, I feel your pain on this one! Spent a whole afternoon swapping out a perfectly good receiver before I figured out the same thing.

@the_lisa the soundbar that turned itself on every time I walked past it.

Yeah, that's a good point, @the_lisa, but I think the real problem is usually the HDMI-CEC settings on the TV, not the soundbar itself. Most people don't realize those remote control signals can bounce around between devices and cause all sorts of ghost power-ons. Turning that feature off has solved that exact issue for me more than once.
