I thought a cheap cable toner was a waste of money...

Spent about $80 on a decent one after a job in an old office building took me three hours to trace one line. It paid for itself that same day, no joke. What's your go-to tool that seemed like a splurge but saved your bacon?

Ever try to cheap out on a good headlamp? I grabbed a pricey one with a long battery life, and it's saved me from crawling around in the dark more times than I can count. Totally worth the extra cash.

What's the worst cheap tool you've ever bought?

Remember that feeling of buying a good pair of diagonal cutters? I used to fight with cheap ones until I got a solid pair that just works, and now I wonder why I waited so long. It's one of those things you don't appreciate until you have it.
