I was dead set against wireless sensors until a raccoon proved me wrong
Ngl, I've been doing hardwired panels for like 8 years. Always said wireless was for lazy installers or people who didn't care about reliability. Then last month I did a job at this old farmhouse outside Austin where running wires would've meant punching through 2 feet of stone wall. Used Honeywell 5800 series sensors. First night after install, the homeowner texts me at 2am saying the alarm went off. Drive out there thinking the wireless failed. Turns out a raccoon set off the motion detector in the attic. Worked perfect. Kinda humbled me. Has anyone else changed their mind on wireless after a real job?

5800 series saved my ass on a stone farmhouse too.

Swapped from hardwired to wireless on a church job after finding out they wanted to add sensors in a bell tower with no way to run cable. Used the same 5800 series stuff and it's been solid for over a year now. Sometimes you just have to trust the tech when the walls won't cooperate.
