Just hit 500 installs without a single false alarm callback

I've been doing residential alarm systems for about 8 years now and never really kept count. But last week my boss pulled up the records and said I'm at 500 installs with zero false alarm callbacks. That honestly shocked me because I always figured I'd have at least a couple by now. The thing that changed my mind was realizing how much it matters to triple check every sensor placement and use quality magnets on windows. I think my no callback streak is more about being careful with zone programming than anything else. Anyone else keep stats like this or am I the only nerd?

Good on you. I had a streak going once until a squirrel chewed through a wire and set off the whole system at 3 AM.

Oh man, that's rough. What worked for me was getting one of those vibration alarms instead. Never had a false alarm from a pest again. I tucked the sensor inside a thick plastic box too, extra protection from any creatures. Really saved my sanity after the third wake-up call.

Three AM wake-ups are the worst. I ran conduit through the attic after a raccoon family decided to redecorate behind my walls and shorted out half the system. Took a whole weekend to run metal piping and seal every junction box with silicone. That was three years ago and haven't had a critter incident since.
