My trick for getting stubborn glass break sensors to stop false triggering

I had a house in Phoenix last month where three different glass break sensors kept going off at 3am for no reason. I finally tried mounting them on a small rubber washer to isolate vibration from the ceiling and it worked perfectly. Has anyone else dealt with false alarms from ceiling mounted sensors?

I used to think rubber washers were just snake oil but that trick actually makes total sense now.

Did you check if they're just picking up the AC compressor through the ceiling?

Holley's rubber washer trick might actually help if they're trying to dampen vibration noise from the ceiling mount.
