PSA: My neighbor's false alarm taught me to always check the panel's history log first

I was helping my neighbor in Phoenix figure out why their system kept beeping at 2 AM. I almost started pulling sensors, but then I checked the event history on the keypad. It showed a single 'low battery' alert from a motion detector in the garage from three days prior that they'd just ignored. Saved me an hour of pointless troubleshooting! How often do you guys check the history log before diving into a service call?

I used to keep a perfect paper planner back in 2018, color coded and everything. Then I switched to digital notes and my system just fell apart. Last week I found a note that just said "call about the green thing" and I have zero memory of what that meant. I'm starting to believe my own notes are written in a secret code only past me understood.
